Ajax Heating & Air Conditioning Logo is inspired by the USS AJAX AR-6 which was a US Navy tender ship from 1943-1986. Its job was to repair other ships in the fleet. The original USS AJAX insignia was rumored to be drawn by Walt Disney and pictured the Warrior Ajax sitting in the water next to an archipelago nursing a ship back to health. The father of Ajax Heating & Air Conditioning was assigned to the ship as a mechanic during “Operation Earnest Will” where the Ajax carried out her specific function of repair. She was anchored off the coast of Oman, Diego Garcia, Al Masirah, and Pattaya. During the operation she repaired 31 ships in 3 months!
Our Mascot
The Ajax Heating & Air Conditioning logo is a modified Version of the AR-6 insignia. In this modified version Ajax is sitting in a field, fixing an air conditioner with a furnace and a tank of refrigerant around him. His bottle is replaced with an orange screwdriver which can be seen in other images. His mission carries through from the Navy which is to fix what is in front of him. The actual Story of Ajax can be found in “The Odyssey” in the Trojan War. He was named the Strongest man in Greece. He was the Cousin to Achilles. He fought princes Hector and after Achilles death he competed against Odysseus for Achilles’ armor. Ajax Heating & Air Conditioning is a tribute to the Owner’s father and his service in the United States Navy aboard the USS Ajax.
Our Owner
Ken has been doing Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration Repair since 2007. Ken went to 3 years of technical school where he earned 3 Specialist Certificates in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He has worked for a multitude of Air conditioning and refrigeration contractors including, small family owned shops, investment bank owned shops, union shops, municipality owned buildings and has seen it all from 1.5 ton mini-split systems, 3 ton split systems, 20 ton Gas/Packs, 270 ton ice floors, to 1,000 ton comfort cooling chillers. Ken has always found pride in fixing what others have deemed unfixable. Ken wants to be your air conditioning provider.
